The Manchego wine is considered as one of the best wines from Spain.

The area of Castilla-La Mancha has a vineyard area of 560,000 hectares, which produces half of the grapes grown in Spain. In this area, Airen variety is the most produced in the world.

Castilla-La Mancha has five areas designation of origin:

1. La Mancha: which produces red wines from Tempranillo and sensitive varieties suitable for aging in oak barrels, with soft, aromatic and mineral tone. When using the Cabernet Sauvignon, fruity reds rise very connotation of wood.

Here, the wine was kept in jars covered with wooden tops and even today, these jars are used for storage. The ancient wines Valdepeñas were young and very rusty.
